overrid.ing Privacy policy
Rev. A · in effect from 16 October 2026
This site sets no cookies and follows no one. The only data that leaves your browser is what it takes to send you a page, and whatever you choose to send me.
That's all!
Your browser keeps
- your language, if you pick one
[1]Who is responsible
This site, overrid.ing, is run by Matteo Gini (Overriding), the data controller for this policy. Write to overriding.dev@gmail.com with any question.
The apps have policies of their own: see Got Cash?'s.
[2]Hosting: Cloudflare
- The site is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare, Inc. To send you a page, Cloudflare handles your IP address, the address of the page and the technical details your browser sends with every request, and keeps logs of them for a limited time to run its network and protect it from attacks. If a page fails to load, your browser may also send Cloudflare a report of the error.
- If Cloudflare has to check that a visit is not an attack, it may set a short-lived security cookie. That cookie is strictly necessary and needs no consent.
- Cloudflare does this on my behalf, under its data processing terms, and the legal basis is my legitimate interest in a site that works and is safe (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). I do not use any of it to identify visitors.
- Cloudflare may process the data outside the EU, including in the United States, under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
[3]No cookies, no tracking
- The site sets no cookies, and has no analytics, no ads, and no scripts or fonts from anyone else.
- Your browser keeps one thing: if you press [ EN ] or [ IT ], your choice is saved in its local storage (as overriding.lang) so the site opens in that language next time. It never leaves your device, and because it only does what you asked for, it needs no consent. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes it.
[4]Links to other sites
Nothing is loaded from GitHub, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube or Google Play until you open a link to one of them. From then on, that site's own privacy policy applies.
[5]If you write to me
- If you email me, I use your address and message only to reply, on the basis of my legitimate interest in answering you (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), and delete them when they are no longer needed for that.
- My mailbox is on Gmail, so your message is also handled by Google under Google's privacy policy, possibly outside the EU under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
[6]Your rights
- You can ask me for access to the data about you, and to correct it, delete it or restrict its use, and you can object to its use, by writing to overriding.dev@gmail.com (Articles 15 to 21 GDPR).
- If you think your data has been handled unlawfully, you can complain to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or to the authority where you live or work.
[7]Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new revision and date.
